Mind Hopping: Shooting 360 film to experience stories

Project partners: VIDAVEO and the University of York

Originally from York, VIDAVEO founder, Adam Gill, has filmed in Africa, Asia, the USA, Europe and the Middle East.

In collaboration with the University of York’s DC Labs, this project aims to develop new non-linear narrative storytelling techniques for 360 degree film. The project uses the interactive ‘mind-hopping’ technique to cast the audience into a person’s mind, where they can hear their inner voice and control their gaze.

Production development will further feed into the future of student learning in Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media at the University of York.
