XR Stories presents immersive storytelling at DocFest 2022

XR Stories’ work will be highlighted at Sheffield DocFest 2022. Two XR Stories funded immersive storytelling projects will be showcased at the festival between 23-28 June. Tickets are free and available through the DocFest website

Pilot Theatre will showcase Monoliths, which celebrates the stories of three women from the North of England. Tyke Films will showcase The Tell Tale Rooms, in which audiences experience the life of artist Eden Kötting. Both projects were funded through the OpenXR funding call and were highlighted in our recent series of behind-the-scenes films. The two storytelling experiences will be set up as interactive installations in the Workstation, enabling audiences to explore them in VR.

XR Stories has awarded Pilot Theatre and Tyke Films follow-on funding to showcase their projects at the festival and will also support them in setting up the installations.

Sheffield DocFest is an international film and arts festival, which champions the documentary form.
