XR Stories at SXSW 2023

In March 2023, XR Stories is heading to Austin, Texas to take part in South by Southwest (SXSW), an annual gathering that brings together leading creatives across film, interactive media and music.

The XR Stories team will participate as part of the Immersive Futures Lab, a UK contingent led by the Creative Economies team to present new technology and experiences arising from some of the Creative Industries Clusters.

XR Stories will showcase some of the eXtended Reality projects undertaken in partnership with creatives and businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Alongside participation in the Immersive Futures Lab, the XR Stories team will also share new research and explore the future impact of immersive technologies via a series of short talks and panel events. 

Spanning virtual production, disability representation, the metaverse and creative R&D for public spaces, XR Stories researchers will explore innovations and issues, sparking new conversations and ideas with an international audience.
