Funded internships scheme now accepting applications

XR Stories is launching its 2022 internship programme, inviting businesses operating in the creative industries in Yorkshire and the Humber to engage with talented students and graduates in the region.

The XR Stories Internship scheme is open to creative industry SMEs in the region, who are either already working in emerging technologies (including VP, AI, Mo-Cap, VR and AR) or aspiring to do so. This year, our focus is on addressing technical skills shortages.

Students and graduates will work with businesses to deliver a creative project over a maximum period of 12 weeks. Projects must be completed by December 2022. Internships funded through previous rounds of this scheme have included the production of 3D models of Leeds city centre, development of electronic systems for an escape room, and an immersive app for a theatre company…

Wendy Sissons, Internships and Bursaries Manager at XR Stories, said “through our internships scheme, we are offering employers in Yorkshire and the Humber the opportunity to create a talent pipeline for the future.”

Applications close on Wednesday, 31 August 2022.
