XR Stories launches new internship scheme

XR Stories is delighted to announce the launch of a new internship scheme starting from today, 1 July 2020.

This scheme will see the creation and funding of around 50 internships across Yorkshire and the Humber and is designed to help support businesses working across the various creative sectors including film, TV, gaming and related digital media. The scheme will be a welcome boost to businesses who may be struggling in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic whilst offering valuable opportunities to students and graduates from universities across the region too.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from across the region are invited to submit applications to the programme which will be open until the end of the year. If successful, they may be able to secure up to 100% of the costs of funding an intern. The internship should be  a specific, defined project that meets the requirements of the business specifically, but this could include anything from content creation to the development of gameplay experiences or the exploration of the ways extended reality technologies could be used in a business.

Internships usually last up to 12 weeks and provide the intern with real world experiences whilst in return they can be a valuable resource to your business and bring up-to-date knowledge, ideas and skills into your team.

This round of the scheme will run until December 2020, and projects must be concluded  before March 2021. Further rounds of the scheme are planned for the future.
