Survey on the future of the XR sector

XR Stories needs your opinions on the future of XR. We are looking for people working in the XR sector to complete our survey and feed into the debate on where XR may develop and what key opportunities and challenges lie ahead. Survey responses will inform our XR Futures Report, set for publication at the end of 2020.

Complete the survey now.

XR Stories began work on this project several months ago by interviewing professionals working across the XR sector about their opinions on the future of immersive media and technologies. Interviewees have been based in countries across Europe, Oceania, North America, and Africa, and conversations about the future of XR have been shaped by factors relating to policies and practices in these different global contexts. Information gathered from these initial interviews has been used to build the online survey, which we are now launching for wider participation.

As well as the results of the survey and interviews, the XR Futures Report will include insights from some of the leading companies in this space, as well as SMEs and indies. We’ve consulted with employers such as Niantic and HTC Vive, and their opinions will be presented alongside those of young directors, freelance designers, and audio engineers. The breadth of ideas about the future of immersive and interactive media and technologies in the final report will come from the full spectrum of XR sector job roles and specialities in companies of all sizes.

If you’re working in XR in any capacity, anywhere in the world, then we’d like to invite you to take part in our online survey. The survey takes 10 – 15 minutes to complete on a desktop or mobile phone, and is running throughout November. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact [email protected].
