Storymode

End date: 5 September 2022

Do you have a fantastic idea for an immersive story? Or would you like to develop one?

New and emerging technologies (e.g. XR, VR, AR) offer exciting opportunities for storytelling but sometimes the technology is prioritised before the story. Learn how to develop an excellent story, through a series of free guided workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with industry expert, Alison Norrington.

We are looking for creatives and technologists, who are interested in:

  • Putting story at the heart of what they do
  • Connecting with like-minded people for future collaborations
  • Learning key storytelling techniques
  • Understanding how technology can support storytelling in new ways

We welcome applications from a range of disciplines and creative sectors. You do not need to have prior experience in immersive storytelling or technology to apply. To be eligible for this programme, you must work for an SME or sole trader based in Leeds City Region.

Applicants can apply in a team of three or as an individual, to be matched with two others on the scheme.

At the end of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to pitch for £5,000 in R&D funding from XR Stories to develop and test a prototype story experience.
