Explore storytelling in more depth with our new scheme – open now

XR Stories is launching a new scheme to help creatives and technologists in Leeds City Region develop their ideas into an immersive story. The Storymode programme will support participants through a series of free guided workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with industry expert, Alison Norrington.

Applicants can be from any creative discipline, such as scriptwriting, game design, sound engineering, film production and theatre design. They must work for an SME or sole trader based in Leeds City Region – read the full eligibility criteria.

New and emerging technologies offer exciting opportunities for storytelling but sometimes the technology is prioritised before the story. Storymode will enable participants to develop storytelling skills that will enrich their immersive projects.

At the end of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to pitch for £5,000 in R&D funding from XR Stories to develop and test a prototype story experience.

Applications closed on Monday, 5 September 2022
