Broadcast Futures: £100k immersive experience call now open

Do you have an idea for a groundbreaking, awe-inspiring immersive installation as well as the team and resources to make it happen?

XR Stories is working with StoryFutures Academy and the National Science and Media Museum to commission a brand new, £100k immersive experience. The installation will run from July 2022 to January 2023 at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford and will push new boundaries in emerging and bleeding edge technologies.

The successful pitch will be aligned with the National Science and Media Museums’ Broadcast Pioneers exhibition, and explore the theme ‘The Future of Broadcasting’. This high profile exhibition is part of the Science Museum Group’s coordinated exhibitions to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the BBC, and the 40 year anniversary of Channel 4.

The commissioned work will be seen by hundreds of people. It’s a real opportunity to engage with the public and get your work seen by a wide and varied audience as well as high-profile funders and stakeholders.

If you’d like to find out more about this call, which is open to companies based in the Yorkshire and Humber region, please visit our Broadcast Futures call page to submit your expression of interest.

Expressions of interest close on Friday 1 October 2021 at 5pm.
