Aesthetica Short Film Festival presents XR Stories VR Soirée

This fantastic event is an opportunity for invited guests to network and join us at the London College of Communication: Screen School VR Lab in partnership with Aesthetica and XR Stories.

On Thursday 7 November, as part of the Aesthetica Short Film Festival programme, the XR Stories VR Soiree includes VIP access to the Screen School VR Lab, alongside welcome drinks and a fantastic dinner. This event is a destination to meet those changing the face of VR, Immersive Experiences and at the forefront of new technologies.

Immersive Sound Masterclass

Join us before the XR Stories VR Soiree at hear Dr. J. Milo Taylor speak about Immersive Sound Techniques: Virtual Worlds.

Sound is crucial to any filmmaking. But with the rise of VR, what new challenges exist? Audiences are invited to explore the theoretical and practical issues surrounding immersive and interactive sound. Dr J Milo Taylor, Course Leader, Sound Arts and Design, will outline a creative methodology informed by various creative practices – including soundscape studies, acoustic ecology, game audio, film sound, installations and acousmatic / electroacoustic music. This session is a must-attend for anyone interested in how virtual worlds connect to soundscapes.
