XR Stories supports research, development and innovation activities in immersive and interactive storytelling and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Since 2019, we have provided expertise support and equipment hire to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Leeds City Region (The Leeds City Region includes Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York).

We continue to work with SMEs from across the region but are no longer accepting new enquiries for expertise support or equipment hire.

A summary of the services and support provided is outlined below.

Expertise support

Our team has provided support to SMEs to enable innovative business growth and development of their own R&D ideas. We have supported the technical creation, implementation and delivery of immersive storytelling projects and helped businesses find funding connections and referrals.

Our bespoke sessions and masterclasses covered subjects including; creative innovation, technical assistance, business growth and commercial support. 

Equipment hire

XR Stories provided free digital and immersive equipment hire to SMEs located in the Leeds City Region.

In our cutting-edge lab space, SMEs were able to use equipment including high-definition 360 recording equipment, virtual reality headsets and high power work stations designed for game engine workflows.
